For the second year, attendees will be able to text to vote for their favorite dishes and decide which restaurant will win the Miami New Times’ “Short Order's Best Bite on the Beach” award.

The panel -- Chef Cecilia Chiang, known for introducing America to authentic Chinese food with the opening of The Mandarin in 1961, “Soul of the Banquet” director Wayne Wang, Ruth Reichl, writer and former restaurant critic for The New York Times, and Michael Bauer, restaurant critic for The San Francisco Chronicle -- will discuss the social and cultural history to the culinary story of Chinese-American cuisine and seasoning them well with personal anecdotes.
