Parking: See General Miami Beach parking information below.
FAQ’s:
- Q: Can I drop my child off at Kidz Kitchen and attend GTV while they're there?
- A: Unfortunately we cannot have unattended minors at the Kidz Kitchen venue. Every minor must be accompanied by an adult in a supervisory capacity. Likewise, adults must be accompanied by a child to gain entry to Kidz Kitchen.
- Q: Will my child have a chance to meet the talent?
- A: We cannot assure any attendees that they will have a chance to meet any of our other talented chefs, however, during the book signing portion of the program children who have purchased a book at Kidz Kitchen will have an opportunity to say a quick “hello” while their book is being signed.
- Q: Can I bring a book from home to be signed? How about a photo I took at last year's Festival?
- A: Unfortunately, due to severe time constraints we must adhere to, we will only permit books purchased at the Kidz Kitchen venue to be signed by our visiting chefs.
- Q: Will my child get to taste the dishes that the chefs prepare?
- A: Many of the recipes that the chefs prepare on stage take longer to cook than time permits during the live demonstration. Therefore, as part of a strict food safety program that we follow for everyone’s well-being, we do not permit children or adults to sample the dishes being prepared. In some cases, where food temperature is not an issue, a chef may ask for a tasting volunteer to help on stage.
- Q: How can I arrange to have my child selected to be on stage with the chef?
- A: Because we are a live show, when a chef asks for a child volunteer the selection process is purely spontaneous. It is not coincidental that the more animated a child is in his/her hand-raising technique helps their chances of being selected to help on stage.
- Q: I have tickets for 3 Kidz Kitchen seminars on the same day. Can I just keep my same seats for the day?
- A: Each Kidz Kitchen seminar is a separate event and we must completely empty the stage tent area between sessions. Unfortunately, we cannot permit attendees to reserve their seats from one seminar to the next.
- Q: What's the most appropriate age for Kidz Kitchen?
- A: We recommend children between the ages of 5 and 16 years old.
- Q: What's the difference between Kidz Kitchen and Fun and Fit as a Family?
- A: Kidz Kitchen is geared towards children who love cooking and who enjoy lively discussions about food with their favorite Food Network star chefs. The setting is as it would be if you were a part of a live audience during the filming of a Food Network TV show where cooking demonstrations are taking place. Fun and Fit as a Family is an interactive and demonstration oriented venue, focused on healthy living habits for the whole family. Knowledgeable experts and Food Network talent will be present to share their views on how to make your body the very best it can be. We encourage you to attend both of these fun filled venues with your children.
- Q: Can I purchase food for lunch at the Kidz Kitchen venue? Drinks?
- A: Our sponsors will be providing snacks and drinks free of charge to all Kidz Kitchen attendees. We will not be selling food or drinks on the premises.
- Q: Do I need to purchase a ticket for myself if I am bringing my child to Kidz Kitchen?
- A: Yes, every attendee must have a ticket to gain entry to Kidz Kitchen. This includes every child and every adult.

- Q: Where should we park for the Kidz Kitchen seminars?
- A: Kidz Kitchen is located between 13th and 14th Street, directly on the sandy beach to the east of Ocean Drive. There are a number of City of Miami Beach parking garages within walking distance of the venue, or if you’re lucky you may find an open metered space in the area.
